Stammer – A Lecture in Theory, 2007/08. Video.
Stammer – A Lecture in Theory by Cairo based artist Shady El Noshokaty is the second episode of the collaborative project Stammer. The work explores the nature of dualism with a video of a theory lecturer (the artist himself) who is overcome with emotions and desires that physically interfere with the delivery of his message at a crucial moment. Mental properties spill over into the physical; systems of a sensual nature come directly out of the private life and dreams of the performer in a spontaneous way.
